CNC Laser Operator
Pay: $22 – $25/hr.
Shift: Monday – Thursday | 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality parts, optimizing machine performance, and working in a fast-paced fabrication environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturing team where your skills in laser cutting, programming, and quality inspection will play a key role in producing critical components used across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC laser cutting and engraving machines, including loading programs, selecting lenses/nozzles, and preparing materials for production
  • Review work orders, blueprints, and job travelers to verify material type, thickness, and processing requirements before production
  • Adjust machine parameters such as power, speed, focal point, assist gas, and pierce settings to achieve optimal cut quality and efficiency
  • Create, edit, or nest laser programs from CAD drawings using approved CAD/CAM or vector design software
  • Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measurement tools to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Troubleshoot routine machine issues and maintain laser equipment, consumables, and support systems to keep production running smoothly
  • Maintain program organization and revision control to ensure the correct files are used for production

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment (laser experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience with CAD/CAM or vector software for laser programming preferred
