Senior Hydrogeologist 

 

Our client, an established environmental and water resources consulting firm, is seeking a senior hydrogeology professional to join their mining services team in British Columbia. This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to large mining projects across Western Canada and internationally, while advancing their career within a collaborative, employee-owned consulting environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Lead the hydrogeology components of major mining projects across all stages, from feasibility to closure planning

  • Provide technical oversight on services including drilling investigations, well installations, seepage pathway assessments, and hydrogeological characterization

  • Develop conceptual hydrogeological models, flow models, and technical reports to inform decision-makers and project teams

  • Mentor and support junior and intermediate staff, fostering technical and professional development

  • Contribute to business development initiatives through proposal writing, client relationship building, and strategic growth planning

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, or related discipline

  • Professional registration (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) with EGBC or eligible for transfer

  • 10+ years of consulting and/or industry experience in mining-related hydrogeology

  • Advanced technical skills in groundwater flow, water balance, or water quality modelling (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW, GoldSim) and geological modelling (e.g., Leapfrog)
