Equipment Maintenance Technician – Thin Film

Our client, a leading semiconductor wafer fabrication manufacturer, is seeking a senior-level Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their Thin Film Equipment team. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with advanced CVD and PVD platforms in a high-volume, fast-paced fab environment where tool performance directly drives production success.

Perform routine preventative and advanced corrective maintenance on Thin Film semiconductor equipment
Conduct in-depth troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, gas, and cooling systems
Support wafer fab production by meeting and exceeding tool availability and quality targets
Collaborate closely with equipment engineering, production, and process teams to prioritize maintenance activities
Lead and contribute to tool improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
Complete detailed pass downs and maintenance documentation
Maintain certifications for equipment, safety, and incident response
Service equipment in cleanroom environments and participate in ERT response activities
Senior-level hands-on experience with Thin Film PVD and CVD semiconductor tools
Strong expertise on the following platforms (priority order):
Applied Materials Centura Ultima HDP CVD
Applied Materials Endura PVD
Novellus Systems C2 Sequel
Experience across multiple chamber types including HDP, DxZ, DLH, RTP, PVD Al, SIP, TiN, and related systems
Proven ability to perform board-level troubleshooting and field repairs
Hands-on experience with RF calibration gear, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and helium leak detection
Ability to read schematics and diagnose complex electrical/electronic systems
A proactive mindset with the ability and desire to learn additional toolsets
Strong communication skills that contribute to a high-performing technical team
3+ years of Thin Film maintenance experience (senior-level candidates strongly preferred)
2-year technical degree or equivalent military/technical training
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and obtain respirator certification
