Geotechnician
We are seeking Geotechnicians to support the 2026 exploration program near Ketchikan/Petersburg, Alaska. This field-based role focuses on core handling, preparation, and geotechnical data collection within a remote, camp-style mineral exploration environment. The position offers a strong entry point into exploration geology for those looking to gain hands-on field experience.
Compensation: $300–$350/day (USD), experience dependent
Contract role for June–October 2026 (3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation)

Shared camp housing and field-based work environment
Opportunity to gain career exposure within active mineral exploration projects
Handle and organize drill core as it arrives from the rig
Clean, measure, and photograph drill core to company standards
Record geotechnical data including core recovery, RQD, and box numbers
Enter and verify geological and geotechnical data in digital systems
Support geochemical sampling and field projects as needed (e.g., soil sampling, surveys)
Assist geologists in daily field activities to maintain efficient operations
Ability to repeatedly lift and move 35–50 lbs of core boxes
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
Experience with manual labor and digital data entry
Comfortable working in remote camp environments for extended rotations
Interest in geology, mining, or exploration operations
