The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Quality Assurance Auditor plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the organization’s Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS). This role combines hands-on auditing, regulatory engagement, and team leadership to ensure ongoing compliance with aviation standards and continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with CARs, ISO 9001, and internal quality standards
  • Review, interpret, and apply applicable aviation regulations and industry standards
  • Audit work orders to confirm accuracy, completeness, and airworthiness
  • Communicate audit findings and manage corrective and preventive action plans
  • Develop, maintain, and improve QA and SMS policies, procedures, and manuals
  • Act as a point of contact with customers and regulatory authorities, including Transport Canada
  • Support SMS activities, including investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Maintain documentation integrity, confidentiality, and quality best practices

What You Bring
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical aviation role
  • Proven experience working within Quality Assurance and/or Safety Management Systems
  • Valid TC AME licence or equivalent QA/SMS training and audit experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with leadership capability
