General Manager
Location: Eugene, Oregon
Our client, a leading player in the global horticulture and nursery industry, is seeking a dynamic General Manager (GM) to lead its U.S. and Canadian operations. This is a high-impact role with full P&L accountability and direct influence over the strategic and commercial direction of the business.
The GM will be based in Eugene, Oregon, and will oversee a profitable business with substantial growth potential. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional business acumen, deep B2B sales expertise, and the operational know-how to lead through complexity.
This role presents a unique opportunity to lead a well-established brand and drive its next phase of growth. While the company has maintained profitability in a challenging climate, it is actively seeking a leader who can drive greater commercial performance, identify new revenue streams, and lead transformation from the front.

Full P&L oversight for North America – leading all sales, commercial, and operational activity.
Direct responsibility for business-to-business (B2B) sales, working with commercial leaders to grow market share, strengthen customer relationships, and develop new channels.
Weekly evaluation of business performance, identifying what is and isn’t working, and executing swift, strategic changes.
Close collaboration with the Commercial Team to explore new market opportunities, including potential re-entry into blackberries and raspberries.
Leadership of a 150–200-person team (including seasonal workforce), with approximately 6 direct reports.
Building and maintaining key partnerships
15+ years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in agriculture, horticulture, perishable goods, or related B2B sectors.
Demonstrated success managing or influencing P&L performance in a $50M–$100M+ business.
Strong commercial instincts, with hands-on experience in B2B sales, relationship management, and identifying untapped market potential.
Proven ability to evaluate business performance, lead transformation, and make data-driven decisions that deliver results.
A background in operations leadership, ideally with experience managing production, logistics, or propagation activities.
