Payroll Coordinator | Edmonton, AB 
Full-Time | Hybrid (1 Day Work from Home Weekly)
 

Our client, a Canadian leader in designing and manufacturing heavy equipment attachments, is looking to hire a full-time, permanent Payroll Coordinator based in Edmonton, AB. We are hiring to replace a valued Payroll Coordinator who is retiring after 10 years of dedicated service.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage full-cycle, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for salaried, hourly, and unionized staff across Canada
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data (new hires, terminations, changes)
  • Ensure payroll compliance across multiple provinces, including WCB/WSIB, EHT, CPP, EI, etc.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts, prepare journal entries, and complete year-end processing (T4s, T4As, ROEs)
  • Respond to employee questions with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Support audits and contribute to special payroll projects as needed

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of Canadian payroll experience (multi-provincial and/or unionized experience is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of ADP (or similar payroll system)
  • PCP designation (or currently working toward it)
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent attention to detail
  • A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently
