Business Development Manager (Bilingual French/English)

Our client, The Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering a community of trusted international trade practitioners to support the growth of global economies by providing international business training, resources, and professional certification for the public and private sectors.
This position can be based anywhere in Canada. Office located in Ottawa, ON.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Set quarterly goals and create metrics to monitor and improve results based on informed data-driven decision making;
Develop, operationalize, and execute business development strategies;
Seek out and support new business opportunities and leads, and pursue corporate leads generated by the marketing team;
Facilitate detailed due diligence to ensure growth opportunities make strategic sense, are mutually beneficial, and can be integrated smoothly and fully optimized;
Draft, revise and create new collateral, including pitch documents, as required;
Create, evaluate and update strategic initiatives relating to corporate client growth including lead generation, qualifying, and engaging new corporate clients, and securing agreements;
Maintain a high awareness of the international trade ecosystem, trends, key stakeholders, and activities/events and actively pursue opportunities in this ecosystem that will provide opportunities for engagement and delivery of services;
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Fluency in English and French;
Minimum of 5 - 10 years of progressive experience with a demonstrated track record of business development success;
A successful track record in B2B sales and consultative selling;
Project Management and Organizational skills;
A solid business network within the international trade ecosystem and/or post-secondary educational system;
Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, verbal, written and listening communication skills;
Able to travel domestically and abroad;
Experience working within a small business and/or not-for-profit
