Our client company is an international leader in the residential and commercial roofing manufacturing industry. With a strong customer base in Ontario, Quebec, and beyond, they are experiencing rapid growth and are looking for a Bilingual Business Development Manager who speaks English and French to join their team. This position is perfect for candidates located in Ontario or Quebec looking to build their sales career in the building supply industry.
 

The Bilingual Business Development Manager will organize and develop sales market opportunities. This individual will ensure strong lines of communication regarding market materials and product knowledge between distributors, builders, and roofing contractors to optimize sales opportunities in each designated area. This position is fully remote and will require the chosen individual to travel up to 80% of the time (approx. 50% overnight, 50% day travel, depending on where you're based).

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Recognize and develop available opportunities to achieve desired levels of product penetration
  • Find and develop customer base which will yield highest profitability consistent with desired market penetration
  • Participates in builder, contractor, trade organizations and shows to compliment sales effort, as required
  • Responsibly monitors all sales activities within the territory/region to include sales volume, expenses, marketing tools usage, competitive and market intelligence, industry trends and sales goals

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Fluency in English and French required 
  • Building materials sales experience required
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Understand the premise of “partnering” with distribution and contractor base as a specific sales tool
  • Understands the differences and working relationships between roofing contractors, remodelers, architects and building contractors
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skill
  • Persistent and resilient attitude
  • Previous experience “hunting” for new business
