Administrative Assistant - Contract

Our client, one of Canada’s leading suppliers of HDPE pipes, fittings and equipment has an immediate opening for a full time Administrative Assistant to join their team on a contract basis. This successful and dynamic team is part of a nationally recognized and innovative company. This contract will initially be approximately 25 weeks in duration but there is a strong possibility of permanent placement.

What you will be doing:
Assisting in servicing customers and answering phones
Provide accurate and timely invoicing of customer shipments daily
Filing of packing slips, pickers, and reconciled reports
Learning and navigating through our new ERP system
Reconcile daily cash transactions payments, prepare and submit bank deposits
Obtain, review, verify and enter purchase and expense vendor invoices, debit memos and debit cancellations in the system for processing in an accurate and timely manner
Investigate, resolve, and respond to all customer, vendor, credit inquiries
What you bring to the table:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. College/University degree an asset
Experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable an asset
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Intermediate math skills
