Our client, the Work Wellness Institute, has the mission to create productive workplaces by turning research into practice. Since 1985 they have been providing individuals and organizations with the education and tools they need to develop safe, healthy and inclusive workplaces for all. Through public educational resources such as webinars, e-courses, and training programs, WWi leads evidence-informed change through collaborative work with partners across academia, industry, government and community.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Information Resources, the Information Resources Coordinator will work to contribute to the Work Wellness Institute’s organizational mandate, including but not limited to the search identification and review of recent and emerging research related to the organization’s mission of safe, inclusive, productive workplaces for all.

  • Contribute to project and program planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement cycles.

  • Working with Team Lead, Information Resources, implement and manage processes and workflows to ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Collate data from multiple input sources to identify topic themes and trends, including but not limited to: literature reviews, meeting minutes from advisory committees, participant feedback surveys, similar resources across sector landscape

  • Identify the recent and emerging topics through environmental scans 

  • Perform literature searches to identify new research and grey lit resources 

  • Use existing organizational criteria to critically appraise resources 

  • Analyze and synthesize findings to inform content and resource development 

  • Assist in development with the WWi Taxonomy and program processes

  • Assist in coordination and recruitment of the WWi Review Committee 

  • Identify subject experts to invite to join the various opportunities, including research partnership, speaking opportunities, review committee member, advisory committee member, organizational memberships. 

  • Upload and maintain WWi Resource Portal 

  • Support reporting cycles by collecting and providing accurate and timely program activity data.


  • Master’s degree in Information and Library Science from ALA-accredited program (or equivalent) 

  • Experience in conducting literature searches and critically appraising research and/or resources 

  • Knowledge in health and business-related information sources an asset

  • Experience in performing and assisting in the development of advanced search strategies and systematic search methodologies for the discovery of evidence-based literature using databases search as PubMed, Cochrane Library and sources of grey literature 

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
