BGC Engineering Inc. (BGC) is an international consulting firm that provides professional services in applied earth sciences. BGC is seeking a UX Designer to join their dynamic team.
This position can be based in Vancouver, Toronto, or Calgary.

You Love: 

  • Researching user behaviour, collecting feedback and translating it into better performing experiences.
  • Whiteboarding ideas, sketching out wire-frames and building user flows 
  • Taking initiative, working independently and you are an expert collaborator.
  • Presenting ideas to the team and using your expertise to get buy-in on new opportunities.
  • Building visual identity systems and comprehensive UX libraries to enable the engineering teams to move quickly and efficiently.

You Have:

  • Understanding of interaction design principles
  • Knowledge of industry tools such as Adobe XD or figma to create interactive wireframes and prototypes.
  • Presenting designs and breakdowns to stakeholders.
  • Experience with conducting and analyzing usability tests.
  • Experience creating UX artifacts like User flows, User journey maps and service blueprints.
  • Knowledge of responsive design
  • Experience building & using design systems.
  • Working with users to understand their needs and pain points.
  • Online portfolio with examples of software design.
