Our Client, a not-for profit organization, was founded in 1985 as an applied research centre investigating chronic disease and the treatment of pain. A general overview of the role:

Reporting to the Administration Coordinator, the Marketing and Community Outreach Specialist will work closely with the management team to fulfill the mission, core values and strategic goals of the Work Wellness Institute by coordinating and executing marketing objectives in multiple areas including communications, public relations, and fund development. This position will participate in planningprojects with management and external partners and be responsible for actively carrying out marketing-related tasks.


Primary functions include:

  • Coordinate and implement marketing campaigns for a wide variety of events and programs
  • Manage and strengthen the institute’s brand using organizational tools and channels
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience
  • Excellent written communication and superior interpersonal skills
  • Create and coordinate press, interviews, advertisements, e-newsletters, and social media content
  • Manage and coordinate social media content and engagement
  • Create promotional materials independently (using WordPress, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, or equivalent programs)
  • Coordinate fundraising and sponsorship development
  • Analyze, organize and synthesize data to make informed marketing decisions and inform continuous improvement.

Responsible for all technical and business logistics including but not limited to:

  • Presentation, platforms, registration, webinar scheduling, clear communication of schedule to stakeholders through social media channels

  • Conduct dry-runs of content learning with Host and Presenters

  • Running webinar platforms during webinars and record
